IRONMITH A.K.A Timothy Jagger
My name is Timothy Jagger and I took up my passion for hiphop in 1997. Since the age of 8 years old, writing has always given me peace in times of distress. Of all the positive influences in my life, hiphop has had the biggest effect on me. I disregard hiphop that draws me away from focusing on my biggest goals, but I passionately love the thoughtful songs that bring me closer to my purpose and my goals. Thoughtful and more outspoken hiphop artists bring me learning lessons that make me and others grow in maturity, emotionally, and spiritually. This is how I write. People ask me why I rap and don’t sing. I rap because it speaks to me in everyway. I believe that hiphop is also a tool for God to speak to me and me to respond to Him. It’s one of the many ways to have great conversations with Him. To me, I need things fast. I have a "just get it done" attitude because I want to grow, and feed my growing passion. I've always wanted to just be thrown out into the world to see where I go.

Going through the good and the bad times is something I treasure. If I have a problem that’s being dragging me down, you'll eventually hear about it in one of my songs. My trials and tough times are like treasures too me. It’s fuel that I need to keep going, knowing that these times of trials produce perseverance; which build character; and when your solid enough, it turns to hope.

When issues in my life turn ugly I like to express it in writing, and then feel it when I rap. Through anger or happiness, I'm very passionate in the way I rap. All my songs are pretty much prayers on how I feel, and hopefully revealing some of my past can be helpful to people - as they realize we all experience the same things in life.
